Haunted Houses, Real Estate Brokers, and the SYFY Channel, How Good Can It Get?

Though this page is typically devoted to issues of the moment, sometimes it’s good to take a breather and focus on something more important which is what to binge watch? After a year and half of searching our respective queues in Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc., finally there is a show that touches on all aspects of entertainment for the entire family, though not age appropriate for all.

And as we head into the end of summer with Labor Day almost upon us, why not be able to respond when asked, “Anything new to watch?”

SurrealEstate” has recently launched on SYFY and the premise is quite simple, Realtor Nick Roman and an elite team of specialist handle the cases that no one else: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away.

What a concept! As real estate professionals its endearing to watch brokers ply their individual skills to move product despite the precarious condition of the individual premises. And to be clear, this real estate brokerage doesn’t hide the truth as they don’t want to be in the position of taking a property back within three days after closing.

I think what really brought SurrealEstate “home” to me is at the end of an early episode and when a client asked Nick Roman if she should reduce the price of the house due to its being haunted and he responded with, “What reduce the price? No!” This represents a good take on being a responsible fiduciary, for sure.

Enjoy!
